Aspiring Residents

In general, we provide two different forms of housing solutions for aspiring residents.

Public Housing

As mandated by our charter, public housing is limited to low-income individuals and persons with disabilities and hardships. To determine overall eligibility for public housing, we review the following:

1.     Annual gross income

2.     Whether you are elderly, a person with a disability, or as a family

3.     US citizenship/immigration status

4.     US Military Veteran

If you are eligible,  we will check your references to make sure you and your family will be good tenants. We will deny admission to any applicant whose habits and practices may be expected to have a detrimental effect on other tenants or on the project's environment.

Availability of housing is extremely limited and our waitlist is currently closed. All future notices for waitlist registration will be published and advertised via our website and local media agencies.

All Other Housing Solutions

Perhaps you are not in need of assisted housing or our homeownership program, we can still be a resource for helping you learn about the housing options available to you in the City of Griffin/Spalding County community under our landlord listing program. Feel free to send an email to Kenda Woodard at griffinhousingauthority@bellsouth.net (add hyperlink).
