ROSS

The Resident Opportunity Self Sufficiency Coordinator (ROSS) is the EPI coordinator and serves as the liaison between the Community Residents and the programs or organizations available to serve our residents. The programs provide supportive services and resident empowerment activities. To include senior health, wellness and safety activities, basic computer skills workshop supplemental food programs (USDA commodity, Meals on wheels and faith based food pantries).

Resident programs; “Taking Charge”, money smart, job & life skills training through the Department of Labor’s Workforce Development program, youth activities and leadership skills. These services enable participating families to increase earned income, reduce or eliminate the need for welfare assistance, make progress toward achieving economic independence and housing self-sufficiency or in the case of senior or disabled residents, help improve quality of life, living conditions and enable them to age gracefully in place.
